Popular singer Spyro has called on Nigerians, including celebrities and influencers, to actively oppose foreign interference and external threats, while holding the government accountable.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Spyro warned that foreign countries are not coming to save Nigeria but to cause harm. He stressed that now is not the time for silence, urging individuals with platforms to speak out and take action.

The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker emphasized that celebrities and influencers have a responsibility to demand government intervention to prevent the country from descending into chaos. He cautioned against trusting external forces, noting, “The Devil always disguises as an angel of light.”

Spyro highlighted the destructive intentions of these foreign influences, stating their goal is to “steal, kill, and destroy,” and encouraged Nigerians to be vigilant in defending their nation.

He underscored the importance of leveraging one’s platform for positive impact, reminding his followers that “without the people, no platform or influence exists.”

Addressing leaders in all spheres—celebrities, religious figures, business owners, and content creators—he wrote:
