The Ondo Elders’ Movement for Tinubu 2027 has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing reforms, saying they are transforming Nigeria and delivering tangible benefits to citizens.
At a meeting with trade unions in Akure, the movement’s Coordinator, Otunba Agboola Kelly, highlighted the impact of the reforms, describing them as “the best thing happening in this country.”
He pointed to easier passport issuance, declining prices, and agricultural programs improving farmers’ welfare as key successes of the administration.
“Nigerians are beginning to enjoy the gains. You can get your passport without difficulty; prices are coming down while farmers are benefiting from Tinubu’s agriculture programs,” Kelly said.
The elders’ group is focused on mobilizing trade unions and associations that were previously sidelined within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, aiming to secure bulk votes for Tinubu in 2027.
“These groups have great influence on the people. Only when their interests are protected can we expect massive support,” Kelly added.
He also praised Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, calling him a key asset to the administration for advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda and strengthening the APC in the state.
The movement plans to rebuild the party across all local governments under leaders aligned with Tinubu’s vision. Alhaji Bala Umar, leader of the Hausa Community in Akure, urged continuity and pledged unwavering support for Tinubu, recalling his backing of former President Buhari.
“The resolve of all Nigerians to back Tinubu will yield greater gains,” Umar said.
