Alleged Genocide: Kaka Urges Tinubu to Address Nigeria’s Security Crisis

Abba Kaka, a Public Policy Analyst and International Development Expert, has called on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address Nigeria’s worsening security situation, warning that the country’s global image is being severely tarnished.

Speaking during an interview on Arise Television, Kaka expressed concern that rising insecurity and poor governance are affecting Nigeria’s international reputation.

He noted that recent criticism by US President Donald Trump—including Nigeria’s designation as a “Country of Particular Concern” over alleged killings of Christians—highlights systemic failures that demand immediate government action.

Kaka said:

“The Nigerian brand is definitely affected. It’s tarnished, it’s kind of damaged. But as responsible and patriotic citizens, when there is a crisis in a country, we are expected to rally around the government regardless of our differences. It’s not because the government is doing well, but because 99.9% of Nigerians have no other home than here.”

He condemned the growing disregard for human life and emphasized that religious differences should not obscure the magnitude of killings in the country.

Kaka’s comments come amid Trump’s threat of possible US military intervention if Nigeria continues to allow the killing of Christians, underscoring the urgency of decisive action from the Nigerian government.
