Chelle Names 24-Man Super Eagles Squad for 2026 World Cup Playoffs

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has announced a 24-man squad to represent Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff campaign.

The squad features key players such as captain William Troost-Ekong, striker Victor Osimhen, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, and defenders Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey.

Veteran midfielder Alex Iwobi returns alongside Benjamin Fredericks, Frank Onyeka, Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Ademola Lookman. Chelle also handed recalls to goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Spain-based forward Chidera Ejuke, while Raphael Onyedika, Tolu Arokodare, Jerome Akor Adams, and Olakunle Olusegun were included in the final list.

The players are expected to converge in Rabat, Morocco, on Monday, November 10, ahead of their opening playoff match against Gabon at the 22,000-capacity Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan next Thursday.
