A political pressure group, PBAT Door-to-Door, has pledged to deliver over 15 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, aiming to secure his second term.

The announcement was made by the group’s National Coordinator, Sunday Asuku, during a rally in Yenagoa to welcome Governor Douye Diri into the All Progressives Congress (APC). Diri officially defected to the APC earlier this week, an event hailed as a historic political realignment in Bayelsa State.

Over 5,000 PBAT members from the eight local government areas of Bayelsa participated in the rally. Asuku praised Tinubu for his non-partisan approach, fostering unity and inclusiveness across Nigeria’s political landscape. He also highlighted the President’s economic reforms, improved sectoral performance, and strengthened governance as evidence of his commitment to national development.

A group leader, Francis Kolokolo, described Diri’s defection as bold, patriotic, and reflective of Bayelsans’ desire for integration into the national political mainstream, emphasizing that it prioritizes the welfare and development of the state above partisan interests.
