BBNaija Star Adekunle Thanks Lagos Police After Alleged Brutality Case

Big Brother Naija star Adekunle has expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Police Command following his recent encounter with police brutality.

In a detailed post on X, Adekunle commended the Complaint Response Unit for their swift investigation and prompt action in his case. He wrote:

“In the last few days, the news you’ve heard from me has been difficult, but today, I want to share some good news. I sincerely thank the Lagos State Police Command Complaint Response Unit for their immediate attention, quick action, and follow-up to ensure everything was addressed.”

He specifically praised ACP Oluyemisi Ojo, who led the investigation, and urged citizens to report any cases of police misconduct.

Adekunle revealed that the officers involved in the incident had been identified and disciplinary measures taken. He added:

“I have been in touch with the ACP in charge of Area J Command, Elemoro, Ibeju Lekki, providing all necessary details. Thanks to ACP Oluyemisi Ojo, the officers at fault were found, and disciplinary action has been taken. Justice has been served!”

Reflecting on the experience, the reality star noted the emotional toll it took on him and emphasized the importance of reporting police misconduct.

“For everyone treated unfairly by police, please report it and gather evidence. The Lagos State Complaint Response Unit works to protect citizens and hold bad officers accountable. No Nigerian should experience harassment while going about their business.”

Adekunle also thanked fans for their support and prayers, saying:

“It is a blessing to know I was not alone during this period. Thank you for the messages, calls, prayers, and outpouring of love. God bless you all. Now, it’s time to focus on being me again.”

His post follows allegations that he was assaulted by police officers, and he has been vocal in raising awareness about police brutality in Nigeria.
