Kim Kardashian isn’t holding back her frustration after learning that several family psychics assured her she would pass the California bar exam—advice that turned out to be false. In a TikTok recap of her mother Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday, the 45-year-old reality star and All’s Fair actress publicly vented about the spiritual advisors she’s relied on during her law journey.
“All of the f–king psychics that we have met with, and that we’re obsessed with, are all f–king full of s—,” Kardashian said in the clip, filmed while she was getting her makeup done. She added, “They all collectively, maybe 4 of them, have told me I was gonna pass the bar, so they’re all full pathological liars. Don’t believe anything they say.”
Kardashian Announces She Did Not Pass the Bar
Kardashian revealed on Instagram on November 8 that she did not pass the California bar exam, which she attempted for the first time in late July. In her post, she wrote:
“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV. Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up—just more studying and even more determination.”
This announcement comes after Kardashian successfully passed the First-Year Law Student’s Examination, commonly known as the “baby bar,” on her fourth try in 2021. She documented her triumph on social media, writing, “OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!! Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today.”
Kim Kardashian’s Law Journey
Kardashian’s path to becoming a lawyer has been unconventional. Since 2019, she has pursued a legal apprenticeship through California’s Law Office Study Program, an alternative to traditional law school. She completed the program in 2025, six years after starting, a timeline extended due to COVID-19 and her professional commitments.
Despite the challenges, Kardashian has remained committed to law and criminal justice reform advocacy. She played a key role in the release of Dawn Jackson, a New Jersey woman imprisoned for 25 years for killing her abusive step-grandfather. In December 2024, Governor Phil Murphy commuted Jackson’s sentence, crediting Kardashian for her efforts.
Spiritual Guidance and Family Mediums
Kardashian has long sought guidance from spiritual advisors. On the reality series The Kardashians, she revealed that she often receives messages from her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., through mediums. She shared:
“For years, everyone’s been telling me… Your dad is coming through to tell you that you’re not going to be able to stop North. She wants to have a big career and you’re not going to be able to hold it back.”
In 2019, she invited Theresa Caputo, star of Long Island Medium, to her Calabasas home for a personal reading with her sister Khloé Kardashian, describing the experience as “probably one of the best days of my life.”
Kim Kardashian Remains Determined
Although disappointed by the bar results and her psychics’ inaccurate predictions, Kardashian remains steadfast in her pursuit of becoming a lawyer. She emphasized that her journey is about perseverance and commitment:
“Six years ago, I embarked on an unconventional path to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer. It wasn’t easy… but I never gave up. Each course brought moments of doubt, tears, and triumph—especially when I conquered subjects I initially feared.”
Her resilience serves as a reminder that success requires hard work, determination, and sometimes a healthy dose of skepticism—especially when it comes to psychic predictions.
