Reality star and influencer Natacha Akide, popularly known as Symply Tacha, has made history by setting two new Guinness World Records (GWR) for the most cosmetic makeovers completed in 8 hours and 24 hours.

A Guinness World Records adjudicator verified the record attempt, confirming that Tacha had surpassed the previous benchmarks in both categories.

On October 11, Tacha transformed 82 women in 8 hours and an astonishing 144 women in 24 hours at a makeup station in Lagos.

Despite facing significant challenges, including a severe nine-hour storm and multiple power outages, Tacha remained undeterred. She recounted the ordeal:

“The rain poured so heavily that our screens, monitors, and branding fell apart. The wind scattered the setup, and we had to rebuild the venue from scratch mid-event. On top of that, the lights went off three or four times during the 24-hour attempt, but I refused to stop. My team turned on their phone flashlights, and I kept doing makeovers in the dark. It wasn’t just about makeup anymore; it was about proving that nothing could stop us.”

The Big Brother Naija star’s determination and skill were evident in the stunning transformations of the women, who were thrilled with their new looks.

Tacha expressed heartfelt gratitude to her team, models, and fans for their unwavering support throughout the record-breaking attempt, emphasizing that the achievement was a collective effort.
