Congresswoman Nancy Mace has issued a stark warning about escalating attacks on Christians in Nigeria, describing the country as “one of the deadliest countries in the world for Christians.”
Mace criticized the current U.S. administration for failing to respond decisively to the ongoing violence. She also faulted former President Joe Biden for removing Nigeria from the Country of Particular Concern list, a move she says weakened America’s stance on religious freedom abroad.
Praising former President Donald Trump, Mace noted that he had adopted a tougher position on international religious freedom and is working to reverse the previous administration’s decisions.
Her comments come amid growing discussions in Washington over how the U.S. should respond to targeted killings and persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
