PDP Convention Must Hold in Ibadan as Planned – Adamawa Gov, Fintiri

The Chairman of the Convention Planning Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has reaffirmed that the party’s elective convention will hold in Ibadan as scheduled.

Fintiri made the declaration during an interview with newsmen shortly after a meeting on Thursday night at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro. The meeting was attended by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, PDP National Chairman Umar Damagum, ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki, National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, ex-Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs Tanimu Turaki, among others.

“We’ve just come out of our critical stakeholders’ meeting where a lot of elaborate decisions were taken. I want to tell you here that we are going to Ibadan for our convention, and the convention is sacrosanct,” Fintiri said.

Attempts to get further comments from him regarding the state of the party were unsuccessful as his security aides quickly escorted him away.
