Nigerian National Deported from India Over Visa Overstay, Alleged Drug Involvement

Indian authorities have deported Onyeukwu Victor, a Nigerian national, for overstaying his visa and allegedly engaging in drug distribution activities.

The deportation was carried out by the Hyderabad police on Wednesday, according to reports from The Times of India. Victor had entered India in 2021 on a student visa, which expired in 2024, but he reportedly remained in the country illegally.

Investigations by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing suggested that Victor collaborated with drug suppliers to facilitate the delivery of illegal substances to clients in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Victor was apprehended in Banjara Hills. While no narcotics were found on him at the time, he was unable to produce valid documentation or provide a reason for overstaying his visa. Verification of his immigration status confirmed the overstay, leading to his immediate deportation.
