The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two alleged members of the notorious Pardi gang, which is wanted in more than 60 criminal cases across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi, officials said on Sunday.

The accused, Arun Pardi (37) and Tega Pardi (40), each carried a ₹10,000 reward announced by Madhya Pradesh Police. Tega had also escaped from police custody in 2024, police added.

According to officials, the arrests come after a spike in night-time burglaries in Neb Sarai, Hauz Khas, and Malviya Nagar — crimes believed to be linked to the Pardi gang.

“On November 14, we received specific input that the suspects would arrive near Shahabad railway station in Dwarkato meet an associate. A trap was laid and both individuals were apprehended,” the police officer said.

Modus Operandi

During interrogation, the duo allegedly revealed that they belong to an organised inter-state gang known for:

  • House burglaries, robberies, and dacoities
  • Moving in family groups, setting up temporary shelters near railway stations
  • Conducting recce while selling toys and balloons
  • Striking at night using slingshots and stones, often targeting residents on the head if confronted
  • Quickly fleeing to another city to evade arrest

Police said both men have extensive criminal histories, with cases of murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, and multiple burglaries registered across districts in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
