The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned its members against engaging in anti-party activities, warning that it would no longer tolerate actions capable of causing internal friction and disunity within the party.
In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the party dismissed as false reports alleging that some aggrieved members from Shinkafi Local Government Area had taken the party to court over purported unconstitutional sanctions.
According to circulating online reports, individuals identified as Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi, Kabiru Ibrahim, and Ibrahim D. Kurya were said to have filed a suit on November 16, 2025, under suit number ZMS/GS/65/2025, seeking judicial intervention over alleged disciplinary actions by the party.
Gusau described the reports as “speculative and misleading,” insisting that no member from Shinkafi had been sanctioned by the party, nor had any court order been issued in relation to such a matter.
He added, “The party is not aware of any disciplinary action or suspension involving its members from Shinkafi, nor has it received any directive from a court of law in that regard.”
Gusau further alleged that those spreading the claims may be attempting to preempt possible sanctions due to their alleged involvement in anti-party activities and close ties to the ruling PDP in the state.
He emphasized that the APC would not allow politically motivated misinformation to undermine the party’s renewed stability and growing support base in Zamfara.
