Social media personality Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has apologised following a physical altercation with comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, aka Mr Jollof, which caused delays on a United Nigeria Airlines flight.

The incident occurred on a flight from Asaba to Lagos, where both men were captured on video fighting as passengers tried to intervene.

In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, VeryDarkMan took full responsibility for the clash, admitting the disruption was unnecessary.

“I want to apologise for what happened yesterday on United Nigerian Airlines. That incident should not have occurred, and I take full responsibility. Many people on that flight had important engagements, and because of my irresponsibility, their plans were affected. Some might have had medical emergencies or business obligations, and I truly regret the delay,” he said.

Reflecting on the incident, he added, “Even though some people saw it as entertainment on social media, I acted irresponsibly. I assure Nigerians that such behaviour will not happen again in public spaces.”
