
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano Command, has arrested four men suspected of stealing motorcycles across different parts of the state.
In a statement signed by the command’s spokesman, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the suspects were apprehended along Ahmad Musa Road, Hotoro GRA, and Medile Quarters in Tarauni and Kumbotso Local Government Areas.
The suspects are:
- Abubakar Abubakar, 30
- Abdullahi A. Abdulhamid, 45
- Muktar Abubakar, 20
- Abdulwahab Muhammad, 20
The NSCDC reported that two of the men caught at Hotoro GRA had already unlocked a motorcycle and were attempting to ride it when good Samaritans intervened, allowing officers to make the arrest.
In another incident at Medile, the suspects allegedly stole a motorcycle while the owner was praying at a mosque. They were swiftly apprehended and taken to the NSCDC office.
Recovered from the suspects were a Lifan motorcycle and a Vespa scooter, which have been retained as exhibits. Investigations into the case have been concluded, and the suspects have been charged to court.
