BREAKING: Court Convicts Nnamdi Kanu on All Seven Terrorism Charges

The Federal High Court in Abuja has convicted Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on all seven counts of terrorism brought against him by the Federal Government.

Delivering judgment on Thursday, Justice James Omotosho ruled that the Department of State Services (DSS) successfully proved every allegation in the charge. The judge held that the prosecution presented “sufficient and credible evidence” linking Kanu to the offences.

Justice Omotosho noted that the defendant failed to open his defence, choosing instead to rest his case on the prosecution’s evidence — a decision the court said left it with no choice but to accept the case as established.

The judge is still reading the remaining portions of the judgment as proceedings continue.
