Nick Hogan Hints at Possible Wrestling Career Months After Father Hulk Hogan’s Death: “It’s in the Blood”

Nick Hogan may be stepping into the ring to continue the legacy of his late father, WWE icon Hulk Hogan, who died in July following a heart attack. Four months after the wrestling legend’s passing, Nick, 35, is opening up about his connection to the wrestling world — and whether he’s preparing for his own in-ring debut.

Nick Hogan Says a Wrestling Career Is “In the Blood”

Nick sparked speculation about a potential WWE future after posting a photo of himself training with professional wrestler Bryan Idol. When approached by TMZ at Los Angeles International Airport on Nov. 20, he didn’t deny that fans might soon see him following in Hulk Hogan’s footsteps.

“You never know, man, you never know,” Nick said with a smile when asked if he was considering a wrestling career. “It’s in the blood.”

Nick shared that simply being around the wrestling world has helped him cope with his father’s death. “It makes me feel so much closer to dad, being around the business and being around that environment,” he told TMZ. “I have a lot of love for it, and like I said, it’s in the blood.”

Staying Connected to WWE After Hulk Hogan’s Passing

Nick explained that he has stayed in close contact with “everybody” at WWE, adding that the company feels like family to him. He emphasized the importance of maintaining those relationships as he navigates life after his father’s passing.

His training session with Idol, he said, went well. “I’m in pretty good shape right now,” Nick shared. “I’m cool… not saying too much, trying to stay in good shape.”

Hulk Hogan’s Death and Health History

Hulk Hogan — born Terrence Gene Bollea — died on July 24 from acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. Medical records obtained by PEOPLE revealed that the 70-year-old WWE Hall of Famer had a previously undisclosed history of leukemia, as well as atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm disorder.

The revelation of Hogan’s leukemia came as a shock to fans, as the condition had never been made public prior to his death.

Nick Hogan’s Role in His Father’s Estate

Following Hulk Hogan’s passing, Nick was named co-personal representative of his father’s estate. Court filings show that he is expected to inherit nearly $5 million. On Sept. 9 in Florida, Nick filed documents requesting that Terry McCoy be appointed curator of the estate.

The filing also confirmed that Hogan’s daughter Brooke, 37, was not included in his will — something she had previously spoken about and requested years earlier. Hogan’s wife at the time of his death, Sky Daily, is listed as his surviving spouse.

A Legacy in the Ring

Nick has long been around the wrestling industry thanks to his father’s decades-long, globally recognized WWE career. From childhood appearances to adult cameos, he has always been connected to the business, though he has never officially announced plans to join it professionally.

Now, with Hulk Hogan gone, Nick says the idea of stepping into the ring feels more meaningful than ever. And while he hasn’t formally declared a wrestling debut, his message to fans remains: “You never know.”
