CCRW Crusade to Light Up Port Harcourt

The Christ Compassion to the Rural World (CCRW) outreach, founded by Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, is set to hold one of its largest evangelistic and humanitarian crusades in Port Harcourt, Rivers State from November 24–29, 2025.

Highlights of the event:

  • Theme: “Port Harcourt, This Is Selfless Love”
  • Headline performers: Laolu Gbenjo, Chioma Jesus, Mercy Chinwo, Lillian Nneji, Sensational Bamidele, Testimony Jaga, and others.
  • Medical outreach: Three-week campaign across major hospitals and PHCs, screening 1,130 surgical cases (thyroid, fibroid, cataract), with 70,000 people expected to benefit.
  • Humanitarian support: Distribution of 150,000 bags each of rice and beans, 150,000 packs of garri, 100,000 noodles, 20,000 packs of salt, sugar, oil, 170,000 clothing items (including 10,000 Ankara wrappers), 25,000 buckets, and 1,000 mattresses for the elderly.
  • Logistics: Over 9,000 volunteers, 150 buses for rural visitors, organized campgrounds, and security with 300 police officers and soldiers.
  • Evangelism goal: 30,000 people expected to commit their lives to Christ through nightly prayers, healing, and miracles.
  • Ministers’ conference: Featuring speakers from Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, and the U.S., including Pastor Poju Oyemade, Pastor Jerry Eze, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Bishop Tudor Bismark, Dr. Festus Adeyeye, Jonathan Shuttlesworth, and Rev. Steve Mensah.

The Port Harcourt edition is the most expensive yet, nearly four times the budget of the first outreach in Ikorodu (2023) and twice that of the Ibadan edition (2024).
