Visa processing giant VFS Global has rolled out an expanded suite of technology-driven services aimed at simplifying visa applications for both group and individual travellers across Nigeria.

The company—which handles visa and consular operations for multiple foreign governments—said the upgrade was prompted by the rising demand from sports teams, corporate groups, families, and leisure travellers seeking faster, more convenient and flexible application options.

“Our mission is to ensure that every traveller’s journey begins smoothly, supported by technology, security and trust,” said Siddharth Mehra, Chief Operating Officer for Sub-Saharan Africa. He added that VFS Global had enhanced its Nigerian operations to deliver more flexible and reliable submission processes.

One of the most popular offerings is the Visa At Your Doorstep service, also known as On-Demand Mobile Visa for UK applicants. The option allows applicants to complete documentation and biometrics from any location of their choice. It has been widely used by corporate organisations, students, and families coordinating group submissions.

A spokesperson for Remo Stars FC, which recently booked the service for a team application, praised the process as “seamless and efficiently managed,” noting that staff provided ample support during the submissions.

VFS Global has also expanded its Premium Application Centres in Enugu, Kano, Ibadan and Port Harcourt, adding to its major hubs in Lagos and Abuja. These centres offer quieter, more private environments and optional services, including document-scanning assistance, real-time updates and courier passport delivery.

For travellers needing extra flexibility, the company provides Prime Time Appointments, allowing submissions outside regular business hours—including evenings and weekends. Applicants can also choose the Premium Lounge for a personalised and dedicated visa submission experience.

According to VFS Global, all solutions are backed by its Live Identity Processing technology, ensuring biometric precision and secure handling of applicants’ data.
