BREAKING: 24 Abducted Kebbi Schoolgirls Rescued

Twenty-four students kidnapped from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State have reportedly been rescued.

According to TheCable, security sources confirmed the development on Tuesday, though details of the operation remain unclear at the time of filing this report.

The abduction had triggered nationwide outrage and renewed fears over the safety of students in northern Nigeria, which has faced repeated school attacks in recent years.

On November 17, SaharaReporters revealed that terrorists stormed the Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in the early hours of the morning, abducting an unspecified number of students and killing a staff member. A school guard was also injured.

The attack occurred around 5:52 a.m., as students were preparing for their morning routines. The gunmen reportedly entered the compound and opened fire, causing panic before taking several girls with them.

Further details about the rescue and the condition of the students are expected to emerge as security agencies provide updates.
