NLNG, NCDMB to Collaborate on Asset Revamp and Performance Enhancement

Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) are set to collaborate on the Accelerated Asset Intervention (AAI) programme, aimed at revamping Trains 1 to 6 and enhancing operational efficiency at the NLNG plant in Bonny Island, Rivers State.

The initiative, announced during the Nigerian Content Stakeholders Retreat 2025, will focus on predictive maintenance, asset reliability, and optimizing Nigerian content in line with the NOGICD Act. The programme is expected to commence in 2026, requiring NCDMB support and approvals for timely execution.

NLNG General Manager, Nnamdi Anowi, emphasized that the AAI programme is designed to sustain top-tier performance, ensure gas delivery, and maintain NLNG’s leadership in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

NCDMB, represented by Engr. Abayomi Bamidele, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting NLNG, highlighting prior successful collaborations including accelerated approvals for Train 7 projects and technical capacity-building initiatives.

The event concluded with awards recognizing companies and individuals advancing Nigerian Content development.
