CeeC on How Being Tagged ‘Arrogant’ Shaped Her Brand

Reality TV star CeeC has opened up about how public perception has influenced her personal brand, revealing that many fans have mistaken her confidence for arrogance.

Speaking on the Echo Room podcast, CeeC said that living in Nigeria comes with its unique challenges, including people quickly accepting negative labels without truly knowing someone.

“Usually in Nigeria, where a lot of people follow the bad work. Like if somebody says, ‘Oh, this person is bad,’ people don’t even wait to experience you. They just say, ‘Oh yeah, she’s a bad person,’” she explained.

CeeC noted that this snap judgment has affected her brand, with many assuming she is arrogant before ever meeting her. However, she believes in the power of personal interactions to change perceptions.

“But I would say, something that you cannot meet me in person or experience me as a person, and go home and say I’m arrogant. You would definitely have a change of mindset about me,” she said.

She added that while the label of arrogance has cost her in some ways, she makes an effort to show her authentic self whenever people meet her:

“One thing that I’ve tried to do is I make sure that when you meet me, when you give me the grace to get to know me, you will not go home feeling that way.”

CeeC’s reflections highlight how public perception and media narratives can shape a celebrity’s brand, and the importance of giving people the opportunity to experience the real person behind the public image.
