Osun Governor Adeleke Resigns From PDP, Cites Party’s National Crisis

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing ongoing turmoil within the party’s national leadership as his reason.

In a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ward 2, Sagba Abogunde, in Ede North Local Government Area, Adeleke stated that the persistent crisis at the national level prompted his withdrawal, effective immediately, on November 4, 2025.

The governor, who gained political prominence through the PDP—first as Senator representing Osun West and later as Governor—expressed gratitude for the party’s role in his political career.
