Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick’s post-retirement romance is raising more than a few eyebrows — especially Megyn Kelly’s. During a recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the conservative commentator slammed Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, going so far as to call the dynamic “elder abuse.”
Belichick, 73, has been spotted regularly with Hudson — most recently in CBS Mornings’ now-viral interview, where she interrupted a reporter and seemingly dictated what Belichick could and couldn’t say.
“He gives this interview, and now it’s starting to look much more like a Jill Biden situation,” Kelly remarked. “She’s like Dr. Jill on the sidelines calling all the shots… trying to decide what he can answer and what he can’t.”
CBS journalist Tony Dokoupil asked Belichick how the couple met, prompting a blunt response from Hudson: “We’re not talking about this.” The moment made it to air, and CBS later defended including the awkward exchange as a move for journalistic transparency.
“They had this monster on screen left who was completely trying to control him,” Kelly continued. “It was to the point where they didn’t feel it would have journalistic integrity if they didn’t show at least some of it.”
Megyn Kelly Raises Serious Concerns Over Power Dynamic
Kelly didn’t stop there. She likened the situation to a concerning reversal of gender norms and questioned the former coach’s well-being.
“If this were a 74-year-old woman with a 24-year-old man in the background, we’d be talking about coercive control, elder abuse, and whether she was okay,” said Kelly. “Honestly, I’ve got all those same questions here.”
The football legend reportedly met Hudson on a flight in 2021, where he autographed her college textbook. Kelly found it odd that Hudson, who’s active on social media, would be defensive about such an innocent origin story.

Belichick and Hudson’s online presence has also come under fire. Photos of their beachside pilates sessions — dubbed #Billates — show Belichick lifting Hudson on his feet. Their Halloween couple’s costume, with Belichick as a fisherman and Hudson as a mermaid, drew ridicule after he commented “My biggest catch!!!” before deleting the post.
“The reactions online are basically: blink twice if you need help, Bill Belichick,” Kelly joked. “And that’s how it looks. I’m concerned for him.”

Belichick’s interview also sparked questions about his mental clarity, with Kelly wondering aloud: “Is this a CTE situation? I don’t know what I’m seeing.” She pointed to Hudson’s increasing control over his brand, suggesting she might be hurting the coach’s reputation and multi-million-dollar legacy.
Adding fuel to the fire, Hudson reposted an email Belichick allegedly sent defending his upcoming book on a “Super Bowl mistake,” pairing it with Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” — a move critics called tone-deaf.
As Belichick continues to step away from football fame and into influencer territory, critics — and fans — are asking whether he’s truly calling the plays anymore.
