The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Abuja’s leading entertainment hub, Blake Resort, Chief Akunedozi, has been honoured with the Entertainment Personality of the Year Award at the 9th edition of the African Giants Awards.

The annual ceremony, organised by Black Giant Signature and hosted by its CEO, Okpe Lawrence Okpe, took place on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts and Culture in Abuja. The event drew an impressive gathering of notable figures from politics, entertainment, business, and the creative industry.

Chief Akunedozi, who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Innocent Okoh, expressed gratitude to the organisers for the recognition. He dedicated the award to God and to the dedicated team at Blake Resort.

“I thank the organisers of the African Giants Awards for the recognition and humbly dedicate the award to God and my hardworking team at Blake Resort,” he said.

Several prominent personalities were also honoured across various categories, including Seyi Tinubu, Oba Barr. Chukwudi Oli, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Senator Anthony Siyako Yaro, Dr. Hajia Ramatu Ibrahim, media veteran Ali Adoyi Abah, comedian Koboko Master, Chief David Daser, and Engr. Tony Nakale of Bingham TV and Compound Group.

In his closing remarks, Okpe appreciated guests for their support and announced that the 10th anniversary of the African Giants Awards will be celebrated next year.
