The Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has temporarily relocated its Ilesha-Baruba campus to the main Malete campus due to security concerns, the university confirmed in a statement by spokesperson Dr. Saeedat Aliyu.
The move is a precautionary measure as the year ends. The university noted that during a recent visit to the campus, everything was calm and staff and students were in high spirits.
The relocation coincides with the university’s 13th Convocation Ceremony, which begins December 9, 2025, and runs for a week. Following the ceremony, students are expected to proceed on mid-semester break ahead of resumption in January.
