The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has officially declared nine individuals wanted in connection with terrorism and violent extremism activities in the North-East region of Nigeria. This announcement was made by the DHQ’s spokesperson, Major-General Edward Buba, during a recent press briefing held at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
During his address, Major-General Buba provided the names of the individuals now being sought by the authorities. These individuals are identified as Abu Khadijah, Abur Rahman, Dadi Gumba, Abu Yusuf, Musa Wa’a, Usman Kanin Shehu, Ibrahim Suyeka, Ba Sulhu, and Idris Taklakse. According to DHQ, all nine are believed to be from the North-East region, where they have been allegedly involved in acts of terrorism and violent extremism.
The DHQ’s declaration is part of a broader security effort aimed at addressing terrorism-related challenges in the North-East, which has been a region of concern due to ongoing insurgent activities. Major-General Buba called on the public to report any information regarding these individuals’ whereabouts, as the authorities are intensifying efforts to ensure the region’s safety and stability.
