
JAKARTA, Indonesia – A deadly fire broke out in a seven-story office building in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, claiming the lives of at least 17 people, according to local police.
Thick black smoke from the blaze filled the sky, forcing nearby residents and office workers to evacuate the area in panic. Emergency services rushed to the scene to battle the fire and carry out rescue operations.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire, and investigations are ongoing. The incident has raised safety concerns regarding fire prevention measures in Jakarta’s office buildings.
