Why Michael B. Jordan’s Name Came Up During Jury Selection in Diddy’s High-Profile Trial

Michael B. Jordan was mentioned during jury selection for the Sean “Diddy” Combs sex trafficking trial, raising questions about the actor’s connection to the case. Despite his name being brought up, sources confirm that Michael B. Jordan will not testify in the trial.

On May 5, 2025, potential jurors were asked if they recognized several celebrities, including Michael B. Jordan, Mike Myers, Kid Cudi, and singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. Ventura, Combs’ ex-partner, is a key figure expected to testify in the trial.

The mention of Michael B. Jordan is tied to Ventura’s lawsuit against Diddy, filed in November 2023, accusing him of sex trafficking and domestic violence. Ventura’s complaint revealed she had a “flirtatious relationship” with an actor in 2015. When Combs learned about this relationship, he allegedly threatened the actor. Sources confirm that the actor named in the lawsuit is Michael B. Jordan.

The ongoing Diddy sex trafficking trial involves serious charges against Sean Combs, including racketeering and transportation for prostitution. Combs, founder of Bad Boy Records, pleaded not guilty and has been detained since his arrest in September 2024.

The trial began with jury selection in New York’s Southern District, where potential jurors were carefully screened for familiarity with high-profile celebrities connected to the case. Prosecutors describe the case as involving “freak offs” — elaborate sex performances allegedly orchestrated by Combs using coerced women and male sex workers.

If convicted, Diddy faces a possible life sentence.
