Dalot “Really Pushing” to Face Tottenham in Europa League Final
Manchester United full‑back Diogo Dalot says he is “really pushing” to overcome a calf injury and be in contention for the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur. The Portuguese defender has been sidelined since last month but insists he will “do whatever we can to find that win and bring you that trophy” for long‑suffering United supporters.
Winning Europa League “the Least We Could Do”
Dalot acknowledged that United’s erratic 2024‑25 campaign has been tough on fans:
“Winning the Europa League is the least we could do for the fans because they have suffered just as much as us. You deserve the best.”
The 25‑year‑old emphasized that lifting the trophy would both repay supporters and secure Champions League qualification, restoring the club to the European stage “where Manchester United should be.”
Dressing‑Room Determination
Dalot told BBC Radio Manchester that the entire squad understands the weight of expectation:
“Everybody in the dressing room and all of the staff know that we carry that weight with us. Together we are much stronger than people think.”
