
Renowned Hollywood director, actor and political activist Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Reiner have been found dead at their home in Los Angeles, according to US media reports and law enforcement statements.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed on Sunday that it is investigating the deaths of two individuals at a private residence in what authorities described as an apparent homicide. No arrests have been announced.
Emergency Services Responded to Medical Call
The Los Angeles Fire Department said emergency crews responded to a medical aid call shortly after 3:30pm local time. Upon arrival, responders discovered the bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman inside the home. Reiner had turned 78 earlier this year.
Multiple media outlets later identified the deceased as Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, a photographer. A law enforcement official cited by the Associated Press said investigators believe the couple suffered fatal injuries and that a family member is being questioned as part of the investigation. Authorities have not publicly named any suspects or provided further details.

Rob Reiner was a towering figure in American entertainment, known for both acting and directing some of Hollywood’s most enduring films.
