Manchester City have received a boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Juventus on Wednesday, with Phil Foden and Mateo Kovačić returning to training.

Kovačić, who has been sidelined since the last international break due to injury, and Foden, who missed the past two games due to illness, both participated in training on Tuesday morning. They were also part of the squad that traveled to Turin later that afternoon.

During his pre-match press conference, manager Pep Guardiola addressed the possibility of the duo featuring in the match. “I don’t think so. Maybe a few minutes for Kova, but I don’t think so. But it’s nice to have them back with the team, in training, and traveling with us,” he said.
