Naeto C Opens Up on Stepping Back from Music, Hints at New Release

Veteran Nigerian rapper Naeto C (Naeto Chukwu) has opened up about his extended break from the music scene, attributing the hiatus to a desire for a more balanced life beyond the demands of entertainment.

In a recent interview, the hip-hop veteran revealed that family priorities played a major role in his decision. “I think I wanted something different when I thought about my future and the kind of life I wanted. I got married in 2012, had my first child in 2013, so looking back, I don’t think I would get the kind of life I wanted if I continued to focus on music,” he explained.

Naeto C added that his initial foray into music was driven not by fame, but by a genuine passion for the art form. “It was a lot, and I was part of those who got into music not because I wanted to be a musician, but because I liked music so much. Fortunately, I was able to make songs that people liked. I was never that sort of kid that you could predict his future that he would definitely be famous or into show business,” he said.

Despite the hiatus, Naeto C assured fans that music remains central to his plans. While attempts to return to the studio this year were delayed by personal challenges, he hinted that new material could be released next year: “I wanted to release a song this year but I couldn’t, so maybe next year. The funny thing is that every time I want to go to the studio, something crazy will happen in my life,” he shared.

Fans can expect the rapper’s highly anticipated return, as Naeto C balances family life with his enduring passion for music.
