Singer Naetochukwu Chikwe, popularly known as Naeto C, has opened up about his decision to step back from the music scene, revealing that family life influenced his choice.

In a recent interview on BEAT FM, Naeto C shared that getting married in 2012 and welcoming his first child in 2013 made him reconsider his focus on music. “Looking back, I realised that I wouldn’t get the kind of life I wanted for myself and my family if I continued to focus on music,” he explained.

The rapper also said his entry into music was driven by passion rather than fame. “I got into music because I loved it and was able to create songs people enjoyed, not because I wanted to be a musician,” he said.

Despite his hiatus, Naeto C admitted that fans continue to encourage him to return. “Every time I plan to go back to the studio, something happens in my life. People keep reminding me of why my music was special to them. It makes me wonder if God wants me to return,” he added.

The singer’s reflections highlight the tension between personal life and professional passion, showing that sometimes stepping back is a conscious choice to preserve family and well-being.
