In a bid to address environmental, economic, and educational equity, especially in coastal communities and among young people, Rite on the Beach, a sustainability-focused initiative, recently held its symposium titled “Access to Resources”.

The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss the growing issue of plastic waste and explore how it can be transformed into valuable economic opportunities. Over the past three years, Rite on the Beach has removed 30 tons of plastic bottles from beaches in Lagos, recycled them, and partnered with universities, including the University of Lagos, to develop innovative solutions to this growing environmental challenge.
