Security Guard Allegedly Kills Wife After Domestic Dispute in Noida Extension, Dies by Suicide; Unidentified Woman’s Body Found in Separate Case

A domestic dispute in Noida Extension turned tragic on Sunday evening when a security guard allegedly killed his wife and later died by suicide, police officials said on Monday. The incident occurred at a rented accommodation in Saraswati Kunj, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Bisrakh Kotwali police station.

The deceased were identified as Anil (35), a native of Etah district in Uttar Pradesh, and his wife Anita (32). According to the police, the couple had moved into the rented house around a month ago. Anil was employed as a security guard, while Anita worked as a domestic help.

Police said that an argument broke out between the couple on Sunday evening, which escalated into a violent altercation. During the dispute, Anil allegedly assaulted Anita and stabbed her to death using a sharp object. He then reportedly died by suicide by hanging himself in the same room.

Neighbours alerted the police after hearing loud arguments coming from inside the house. When officers reached the spot, they found both bodies inside the rented accommodation. The couple had been married for 13 years and did not have any children.

A forensic field unit was called to examine the scene. After completing preliminary procedures, the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death and sequence of events. “The forensic team inspected the site, and further investigation is underway,” an official from the Bisrakh Kotwali police station said.

Police are questioning neighbours and gathering details about the couple’s background and relationship to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.

Unidentified Woman’s Body Found in Noida Dumping Yard

In a separate case, the body of an unidentified woman was recovered from a dumping yard in Sector 145, Noida, on December 28, police said. The body was found with the woman’s hands and legs tied, and her face appeared to have been burnt, possibly with acid, raising concerns that the injuries were inflicted to conceal her identity.

According to the police, ragpickers noticed a black storage bag lying in the dumping yard and alerted authorities around 6.30 pm on Saturday. When police reached the spot, they found the body inside the bag.

Santosh Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida), said that based on preliminary assessment, the woman is believed to be in her early 20s. She was found wearing black pants, while no clothing was present on her upper body. Officials said there were no visible signs of sexual assault.

A senior police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the woman’s hands and legs were tied with a white cloth, and her face was severely burnt, with acid suspected to have been used. However, investigators noted that there were no obvious fatal injuries visible on the body, and the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.

“The nature of the injuries and the cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem examination,” the officer said, adding that police have not yet established whether the case is one of murder.

Investigations are ongoing in both cases, with police examining forensic evidence, post-mortem reports and possible leads to establish the sequence of events and identify those responsible where applicable.
