Abia: Ikpeazu Recalls Challenges During His Administration

Former Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has described Operation Python Dance, the #EndSARS protests, and the COVID-19 pandemic as some of the toughest challenges of his administration.

Ikpeazu made the remarks on Friday while receiving Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, at his Umuobiakwa country home in Obingwa. He praised Kalu for his unwavering support during these difficult periods and commended him for his achievements at the National Assembly.

“Through all the rough patches—Operation Python Dance, COVID-19, and #EndSARS—he stood by me without expecting anything in return,” Ikpeazu said. He further encouraged Kalu to remain humble, noting that God raised him to help liberate Abia State and the wider Igbo nation.

Kalu, representing Bende Federal Constituency, congratulated Ikpeazu on his recent ambassadorial appointment, explaining that his visit was a New Year homage.
