Apostle Harrison Ayintete, founder of The Goodness Nation Ministries, has criticized singer Skales over a recent testimony, saying it does not promote spiritual growth or godliness.
The controversy arose after Skales shared that his song Shake Body regained popularity following a viral video of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal dancing to it. While the singer credited answered prayers for the song’s resurgence, Ayintete argued that the testimony, especially in a church context, sends the wrong message.
In an Instagram post on January 4, 2026, Ayintete clarified that he has no personal issues with Skales but questioned the spiritual value of highlighting secular music that promotes immorality.
Addressing the singer directly, Ayintete wrote:
“Your testimony does not inspire Godliness. I don’t have any issues with you, dear brother. If you shared that testimony on your own platform, it is not my business. But your local church should not project success linked to music that promotes immorality as a testimony.”
The pastor emphasized that testimonies in church should encourage spiritual growth, devotion, and maturity, warning that celebrating secular achievements connected to immoral content could mislead young believers.
Ayintete’s remarks underline his belief that church testimonies should serve as positive examples, guiding congregants toward godly behavior rather than secular success.
