Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has reacted to the tragic road accident in Ogun State that claimed the lives of two close friends of British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua during his recent visit to Nigeria.

In a video shared online, Anjorin controversially blamed Joshua’s mother for allowing him to travel to his hometown during the festive season instead of staying in safer areas like Lekki, Ikoyi, or Banana Island in Lagos.

She argued that choosing a more secure location could have prevented the tragedy, emphasizing that a world-famous athlete should exercise extra caution during holiday travels.

“Anthony Joshua’s mother is to blame. She didn’t put her son in a better place like Lekki or Ikoyi, she watched him go back to his village for the festivities. What reasonable mother would allow that?” Anjorin stated.

Her comments have sparked debate online, with many weighing in on parental responsibility and the risks faced by public figures traveling during busy holiday periods.
