The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has attributed the deaths of several villagers during recent airstrikes in Sokoto to what it termed as “secondary explosions.”
JOINTEARN recalls that the Sokoto State government recently reported that 10 villagers were killed and several others injured in airstrikes carried out in the Silame Local Government Area.
However, Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, clarified that the casualties resulted from secondary explosions, not the direct impact of the airstrikes.
