Al-Hikmah University Reassures Parents and Students on Security Measures

Al-Hikmah University, a faith-based Islamic institution in Ilorin, has reassured students, staff, and parents about safety on its campuses, amid national concerns over kidnappings and insecurity.

The university, which also runs an Agriculture department campus in Igbaja, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, emphasized that robust security protocols have been implemented to ensure the safety of all students and personnel.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the university’s 15th convocation ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Lateef Oladimeji noted that 2,192 students are set to graduate this week. Among them are 76 first-class graduates, 1,008 second-class upper, 996 second-class lower, and 112 third-class honours students. Additionally, 77 postgraduate diploma, 485 master’s, and 79 doctoral degree holders will receive their certificates.

Prof. Oladimeji reaffirmed the university’s commitment to both academic excellence and the security of its community, ensuring parents and students remain confident in the institution’s preparedness.
