Internet Reacts as Pakistani Women Dance to Dhurandhar Song Shararat at Wedding: ‘So Much Craze Despite Ban’

Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar continues to dominate not just the box office but also social media, and its viral music number Shararat is proving unstoppable—even across the border. A recent video circulating online shows Pakistani women dancing to the track at a wedding, sparking reactions from fans and netizens alike.

Pakistani Fans Embrace the Hit Song

In the clip, two women are seen performing choreographed moves to Shararat while wedding guests cheer them on. The video quickly drew comments highlighting the song’s massive popularity despite the film’s official ban in Pakistan.

One user wrote, “Pakistanis are loving Dhurandhar like anything. Maybe they will give Nishan-e-Pakistan to Aditya Dhar.” Another added, “Dhurandhar living rent-free across the border.” Many others noted the cultural impact, with one fan saying, “No matter how much PAK deny it online, the impact of Bollywood is unreal. Ardent reel watchers like me must have seen so many similar dance videos coming out from PAK on the trending songs of Dhurandhar. Bollywood has a cultural footprint on the entire Indian Subcontinent.”

Shararat Breaks Records

The song Shararat, featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza, has become a chartbuster since the film’s release, recently crossing 100 million views on YouTube. Composed by Sashwat Sachdev and sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas, the track was choreographed by Vijay Ganguly, making it a favorite on wedding playlists and social media reels alike.

Dhurandhar Ban in Pakistan

Dhurandhar was not released in Pakistan, as well as in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Despite these restrictions, the film has achieved unprecedented overseas success, becoming the most successful Indian film internationally in 2025 and crossing ₹1,000 crore globally.

The spy thriller stars Ranveer Singh, with Akshaye KhannaArjun RampalR. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. With its massive success, the sequel is already slated for release in March 2026.
