Controversial street-pop artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has accused his father of neglect, financial exploitation, and manipulation, warning him against what he described as spiritual intimidation.

The singer made the allegations during an emotional Instagram Live session on Tuesday, amid renewed family tensions that recently escalated into a physical altercation involving one of his children’s mothers.

The Zeh Nation founder claimed that his father repeatedly distances himself whenever he faces challenges such as police matters or marital disputes, but allegedly maintains contact with his baby mamas for financial gain. According to Portable, instead of mediating family conflicts, his father allegedly seeks money from his partners, a situation he said has destabilised his relationships.

“Anytime there’s trouble, you disappear, but you can collect my baby mamas’ phone numbers and collect money from them,” Portable said, adding that his father has never come to his aid during difficult moments.

The singer further accused his father of mismanaging funds entrusted to him for a building project, alleging inflated costs for construction materials and abuse of trust. He claimed that quotations for blocks and roofing were deliberately exaggerated for personal benefit.

“My life was good without you. You didn’t train me, you didn’t send me to school. You only came into my life when I became famous,” Portable alleged, likening his experience to what he described as the late singer Mohbad’s family troubles.

He also accused his father of emotional detachment following his mother’s death and claimed that his father resurfaced only after his rise to fame. Portable insisted that his father would not inherit his wealth or properties, vowing to protect his assets and children.

“You can never inherit me. I won’t allow what happened to Mohbad happen to me. I will live long and take care of my children and my properties,” he declared.

Despite his grievances, Portable praised his aunt, Alhaja, whom he credited for raising and supporting him during his early years and during encounters with law enforcement. He accused his father of blocking communication with her and spreading false allegations against her in order to isolate him.

“If not for Alhaja, I wouldn’t be here today,” the singer said, describing her as a stabilising force in his life.

Portable concluded by reiterating that his father was absent during his upbringing and has failed to support other family members despite allegedly benefiting financially from him.
