Afrobeats sensation Oxlade has advised performing artists to focus on developing their vocal abilities to enhance their careers.

In a recent post on X, the singer emphasized the importance of being able to deliver strong performances independently, without relying solely on audio engineers or digital tools. He encouraged artists to hire vocal coaches or, if that isn’t possible, use online tutorials to strengthen their voice.

“Dear performing artist, get yourself a vocal coach. And if you can’t, watch tutorials on how to better your vocals. It will go a long way. Engineers are lifesavers, but when the spotlight is on you, you have no choice but to use your natural God-given voice. Invest in thyself,” Oxlade wrote.

He highlighted that cultivating one’s voice not only improves live performances but also ensures longevity in the music industry.
