Media personality Symply Tacha has shared her thoughts on modern relationships, insisting that men must continue to put in effort when dating or building romantic connections.

Speaking on the CreativiTEA podcast, Tacha dismissed the growing narrative that men no longer need to impress women, describing it as inconsistent with real-life dating expectations.

According to her, society still places expectations on men to take women out, buy gifts, and make intentional gestures, making it unrealistic to claim that effort is no longer necessary.

“Push the whole narrative of ‘men don’t have to impress,’ and I’m like, you can’t tell me men don’t have to impress, and every other day you’re telling a girl, ‘let me buy you bottles, let me take you out.’ There has to be effort,” she said.

Tacha explained that effort is a natural part of attraction, drawing parallels from nature where male animals, especially birds, make visible displays to attract female partners.

She questioned why some men believe effort is optional while women are still expected to maintain standards, warning women not to settle for minimal treatment under the guise of independence or modern “wokeness.”

“The ones that don’t put in effort are the ones pushing that woke 2025 nonsense. If animals can understand that they need to impress, who are you to say you don’t?” she added.

Tacha also encouraged women to be honest about their expectations in relationships and to demand intentional effort rather than accepting excuses disguised as progressiveness.
