Afrobeats singer Fave has spoken passionately about the need for women to support one another, especially within male-dominated industries such as music and entertainment.

In a series of posts shared on social media, the singer encouraged women to intentionally uplift fellow women, stressing that mutual respect, unity, and empowerment are essential for collective progress.

Fave pointed out that women often face disrespect and marginalisation, noting that men are more likely to promote and support their male counterparts—even in situations where a woman may be more deserving.

“Women aren’t really respected, so as a woman, when you get up, lift another woman first. Men will lift men even if a woman is more deserving,” she wrote.

As part of her commitment to empowering women, Fave opened her direct messages to fellow women, inviting them to share details about their businesses, fashion brands, and talents. She promised to use her platform to promote and amplify their work.

The singer explained that although she is still on her own journey, she has realised that waiting for the “perfect time” to support others may not be necessary.

“Life is short. I’m opening my DMs for my women specifically. Send me your businesses, fashions, or talents. I will put you on,” she added.

Fave said the initiative is her way of giving back, fostering solidarity among women, and creating opportunities for growth and visibility.
