“You Can’t Flush Drugs Away” – Doctor Reacts to Regina Daniels’ Drug Test Result

A medical doctor has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ recently released drug test result, dismissing claims that the test was manipulated or influenced.

The actress had gone public with the drug test after months of rumours accusing her of substance abuse, a move that sparked widespread debate online.

Reacting to speculations, popular medical influencer Dr Chidi A. Okoroafor addressed claims suggesting that Regina travelled abroad to “flush out drugs” from her system before taking the test.

In a strongly worded post, the doctor dismissed the notion, explaining that such claims reflect a misunderstanding of how drug testing works.

“Once I hear ‘she has gone abroad to detoxify or flush out the drugs before test,’ I mark myself and my family safe from your generational ignorance,” he wrote.

His comment quickly gained traction on social media, drawing mixed reactions from users and reigniting discussions around the actress’ situation.

Why Regina Daniels Took the Drug Test

Regina Daniels had earlier explained that she voluntarily took the drug test to clear her name and protect her children from damaging narratives.

In an emotional video shared on Wednesday, January 7, the actress denied being a drug addict, describing the allegations as harmful lies. She said she did not want her children growing up believing false stories about their mother.

How the Controversy Began

The allegations reportedly surfaced during a turbulent period in Regina Daniels’ marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, who had publicly accused her of drug use.

The controversy intensified in November 2023 when Regina’s co-wife, Laila Charani, also accused her of introducing her to drugs.

Leaked Medical Report Fuels Debate

Following the accusations, a leaked medical report allegedly showing a positive drug test result surfaced online. The document spread rapidly and divided public opinion.

Many Nigerians later questioned how the actress could present a negative drug test afterward, fueling further speculation and criticism.

Dr Okoroafor’s intervention has, however, provided a professional medical perspective, helping to dispel misinformation about drug testing and the idea of “flushing drugs” from the body.
