Peller Apologises to Woman He Clashed With in Public

Popular Nigerian streamer Peller has issued a public apology to a woman he had a heated exchange with at a restaurant, following widespread backlash online.

The incident, which occurred a few days ago, showed the streamer confronting a lady after she allegedly complained that he was being too loud at the eatery. According to Peller, the comment angered him, prompting a verbal response that many social media users later described as inappropriate.

After the video surfaced online, netizens criticised Peller’s conduct and called him out for publicly attacking the woman.

In response, the streamer acknowledged the backlash and apologised, revealing that the woman involved is named Oginika.

Peller explained that his reaction was influenced by the constant online harassment he faces, noting that the accumulated negativity has left him emotionally affected.

“That girl that I met in that food place that we exchanged some words, I’m sorry. But I’m traumatised. The hate I get online is a lot, and when someone says something negative in real life, it gets to me. Oginika, I’m sorry. But you too, no dey talk to people like that, e no fair,” he said.

The apology has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some applauding Peller for taking responsibility, while others insisted public figures must learn to manage criticism without lashing out.
