Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, has expressed confidence that Nigeria will overcome its security challenges through the sustained efforts of the military and other security agencies.
He made the statement during the flag-off of food and cash distributions to residents in Ilase, aimed at supporting individuals and groups across all 10 local government areas of Osun East. About 20,000 bags of rice were handed out alongside cash assistance.
Fadahunsi highlighted the Federal Government’s ongoing strategies to combat violent crimes and restore peace to affected communities. “The fight against insurgency and insecurity will be won through the cooperation of all stakeholders,” he said.
He also emphasized the link between insecurity and food shortages, noting that the ongoing distribution of rice is intended to alleviate economic hardship while security operations continue. “While expecting victory over the perpetrators of violent crimes, it is necessary for governments at all levels to intensify humanitarian support to mitigate food insecurity,” Fadahunsi added.
The senator reiterated that the menace of insecurity will soon become a thing of the past, crediting the ongoing efforts of the military and other security agencies.
