
The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), led by Chief Executive Engr. Saidu Aliyu Mohammed, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to strengthen institutional collaboration between the two regulators.
According to NERC’s official X handle, the discussions focused on enhancing synergy between the power and gas sectors to support national economic growth and energy security. Both parties emphasized the importance of continuous engagement and coordinated strategies to develop practical solutions for advancing their respective sectors.
NERC Chairman, Dr. Musiliu Oseni, welcomed the initiative, noting that closer cooperation would promote policy coherence, operational efficiency, and sustainable development across the energy value chain.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration and explore joint initiatives that will strengthen the growth and stability of Nigeria’s power sector.
